Adobe Zii is a small yet incredibly useful utility developed by TNT, designed to resolve activation issues for any Adobe product—ranging from CC 2015 through CC 2018 (inclusive).
Simply click "Patch or Drag," and Zii will automatically locate all installed Adobe products within the default directory, replacing the `amtlib.framework` file with a patched version; this effectively partially decouples the products from Creative Cloud.Photoshop, Acrobat, Lightroom, and other applications will continue to function regardless of whether their trial periods have expired—and regardless of what Creative Cloud indicates.Removing Creative Cloud does not affect the operation of Adobe products that have been patched using Adobe Zii.
The "Patch or Drag" feature also allows for the selective replacement of the `amtlib.framework` file by dragging a specific application directly into the Adobe Zii window.This is particularly useful, for instance, if you hold a subscription for only a subset of Adobe products, or if your applications are installed outside of the standard "Applications" folder.
For those who prefer a clean slate, you can reset the Creative Cloud trial status using the following commands in the Terminal:
