About
Lingon X is a utility for complete control over startup programs on your system. All those programs/daemons/agents that you cannot control using standard system tools will be under the control of this application.
Run what you want, when you want Lingon can run an application, script, or command automatically when you want it. You can schedule it to run at a specific time, regularly, or when something special happens. Lingon can also provide automatic restart of an application or script. Lingon X 7 builds on the excellent Lingon 3 and expands it with new features such as running jobs as root and on multiple dates. Now it's even easier to use, but much more powerful.
Functions
- Run an application, script or run a command automatically whenever you want. You can schedule it to run at a specific time, regularly, or when something special happens.
- It can also ensure that the application or script will automatically restart in case of failure. Lingon X can do all this and more for you.
- Allows you to launch things automatically by changing configuration files for a built-in system function called launchd to let the system handle running jobs so you don't have to open Lingon after saving a job.
- Released outside of the Mac App Store to enable requested features.
- Still available in the Mac App Store for those still using OS X 10.7 Lion or prefer the comfort and convenience of the Mac App Store.
- Earlier versions of Lingon X are still available to run on macOS 10.8 and later. And the license purchased today can be used with both Lingon X 5 and Lingon X 4.
