About

iClip is a clipboard writer that saves whatever you copy—plain text, rich text, images, files, you name it. Access your clipping history in iClip's stunning interface.

Simplicity and power

One of the key factors in iClip's popularity is its simplicity and ease of use.

First, iClip was designed to be as easy to access as the Dock on a Mac. Simply move your cursor to the edge of the screen and iClip will instantly open for use.

To access iClip you can...

- Drag and drop into documents and back.

- Click on the arrows next to each bin to copy and paste to/from documents with one click.

- Go beyond the simple with powerful, customizable hotkeys (shortcuts).

Style and design

If you value careful design and a robust user interface, then you'll love iClip.

Hover over the clip bin to display a pop-up preview of the clip's contents.

Rich functionality and customization options

Imagine if ice cream only came in one flavor. Not much fun, huh? Get your hands on iClip settings and go beyond plain vanilla.

- Select the iClip screen position that is most convenient for your work.

- Try different skins, shapes and sizes of baskets.

- Adjust the transparency to your liking.

- and much, much more...

Switching to "pro" with a keyboard

iClip is not only about beautiful appearance. As easy as iClip is to use with a mouse, we haven't forgotten about keyboard lovers.

You can use almost all of iClip's features using just your keyboard. Efficiently copy and paste into iClip without taking your hands off the keyboard.

Storage and organization

When repeating tasks like filling out web forms, you can organize your saved clips into multiple sets and have them ready to insert instantly.

You can have a set of clips for each project you work on and store various things in it, such as web addresses, frequently used clip art such as logos, code snippets, etc.

If you often have to respond to emails with a bunch of the same responses, you can use iClip to store them. Having all these elements in one click or keystroke allows you to quickly and efficiently handle such tasks.

Configuration using AppleScript, javascript, Automator and services

Do you need special handling of certain clipboard contents when copying them to iClip, such as recording additional information or clearing data? Do you want to add your own operations to change selected clippings, such as converting all text to lowercase? iClip can create scripts in both AppleScript and JXA (javascript for Applications). For more information, see iClip Scripts.
