Sublime Text supports a wide range of programming languages and features syntax highlighting for C, C++, C#, CSS, D, Dylan, Erlang, HTML, Groovy, Haskell, Java, JavaScript, LaTeX, Lisp, Lua, Markdown, MATLAB, OCaml, Perl, PHP, Python, R, Ruby, SQL, TCL, and XML.
In addition to the languages included by default, users have the option to download plugins to add support for other languages.
Sublime Text can be equipped with a package manager that allows users to find, install, update, and remove packages without restarting the application.The manager keeps installed packages up to date by downloading new versions from repositories.Furthermore, it provides commands for activating and deactivating installed packages.

Users can view their entire codebase on the right side of the screen as a "minimap," which can be clicked to navigate through the code.
