Expressions is an app to play with regular expressions. Easy and pleasant.
A completely minimalistic, non-distracting interface. Dark and light mode. Syntax highlighting pattern. Beautiful full screen view. Pattern and text group selection, with real-time preview.
Just enter the template and text to check. All changes are updated as you enter text or a template. The app highlights syntax so the template is easy to read and modify. If you use subexpressions (groups), you can select them by pressing cmd+shift+] (or [ - to decrease the number of the selected group).
If you don't remember the regex syntax, just press cmd+r or the button in the top right corner. You will receive a reference sheet so you don't have to remember everything.
The user interface is very minimalistic and does not distract attention. The default color is the same as the menu color, but you can always switch to dark or light mode. You can also open the app in a beautiful full-screen mode, which is perfect for when you want to focus or demonstrate regular expressions to other people.
