DxO FilmPack renderings are created in DxO Labs using an exclusive scientific process of exhaustively profiling each film. This process is based on a series of images of specially calibrated targets, as well as real objects captured using profiled film. The film is then developed in the world's most reputable processing labs, notably PICTO in France and Duggal in the US, before being digitized at high resolution to measure film response and extract matrix grain. This process allows DxO to perfectly reproduce, with high precision, the distinctive appearance, colors and grain of more than 80 legendary films - color negatives, black and white, slides and instant photographs.
