About
VisualDiffer compares folders and files side-by-side using color to visually show differences. From the interface, you can perform operations on folders and files, such as copying or deleting.
This can be compared to quickly selecting a folder's directory base from the context menu. Using the file filter feature is the ability to hide from rendering specific files such as .Git, .SVN directories or the ubiquitous .DS_Store files.
Comparing folders can be done using various methods, with a quick one being "compare dates and sizes only" in a fine-grained byte and in a comparison byte. File comparison is performed using the Unix Diff command; this selection makes the result fast, standard and reliable. It is possible to save work sessions and then quickly open them again to compare directory hierarchies or directly two specific files.
