About
CAPS Wizard is designed for people who accidentally press Caps Lock, or for those who use Sticky Keys for input. It can visually *show* you—or otherwise *warn* you—under specific conditions.
It displays:
- A small arrow (actually a CAPS icon) that turns red when Caps Lock and/or Shift is pressed. The arrow can be displayed in the menu bar and/or in the Dock.
- A square block that can display all modifier keys.It can be shown to the left of the Apple menu in the menu bar, or in the Dock.
- A *LARGE*, semi-transparent image in the center of the screen when Caps Lock is pressed.
It provides warnings:
- When you have enabled Caps Lock and/or Num Lock.
- When you have typed a specified number of keys while holding Shift (or using Sticky Keys for Shift) or Caps Lock, and/or when you have enabled Caps Lock.CAPS Wizard warns you regardless of which application you are currently typing in.
Warnings can be visual—via a screen flash or Mac OS notifications—or audible, using a sound and volume of your choice.Audible warnings can be continuous while Caps Lock remains enabled.
