This is an IDE within the Python ecosystem designed specifically for data-centric work.Previously, data analysts had to rely on either general-purpose code editors and IDEs intended for software developers, or on Jupyter Notebooks.Previously, a full-fledged IDE for data work existed only within the R ecosystem. We have heard time and again from users working in RStudio that they needed a similar tool for Python.JetBrains DataSpell is an IDE designed specifically for data professionals.
On one hand, JetBrains DataSpell offers a wealth of tools for working with data—including notebooks, an interactive REPL console, Conda support, and tools for viewing datasets and visualizations.At the same time, however, JetBrains DataSpell also features an intelligent Python code editor and a host of other tools—all accessible within a unified user interface.
While support for Python remains our top priority, we are also open to other languages.We have already included basic support for R, and it is quite possible that support for other languages will be added in the future.
