TACKLE COMPLEX TASKS
Syncovery offers a wealth of features, including real-time synchronization, data compression, encryption, email notifications, and much more. Its capabilities can be further extended using PascalScript.Features:
- Extremely Fast Scanning
Syncovery's multi-threaded folder listing algorithm delivers unprecedented speed, effortlessly handling millions of files and vast numbers of folders.Even greater speeds can be achieved using the Target File List Cache and Remote Service features.
- Block-Level Copying
This helps you save both bandwidth and backup storage space.Syncovery can detect changed blocks within large files and copy only those specific blocks.Detection is performed by:
storing checksums in a database;
utilizing the Syncovery Remote Service; or
using our revolutionary File System Monitoring Service (the File System Monitoring Service is available only on Windows).
- Real-Time Synchronization
Real-time synchronization ensures that changes are synchronized instantly.Syncovery monitors file system events and promptly executes the appropriate actions. For cloud servers, it can utilize polling to detect changes. These features are available only on Windows and macOS.
- SmartTracking
The SmartTracking synchronization mode is frequently used for two-way synchronization jobs.It is capable of detecting moved files, deleted files, and conflicts (files that have been modified on both sides).
- Versioning
Syncovery allows you to retain multiple versions of modified files, enabling you to restore files to an earlier state. You can select a specific restoration date for individual files or multiple files using our Restoration Wizard.
- Server Migration
Syncovery's advanced NTFS copying capabilities, high speed, and scalability make it ideal for performing large-scale server migrations.
- Keep Everything Under Control
Advanced Mode allows you to unlock the full potential of Syncovery. The Profile Overview displays your jobs (or profiles), their last and next run times, as well as their last result or current progress. You can easily create, edit, and run profiles.Syncovery offers various ways to run profiles. These options are available by right-clicking on a profile:
- Attended Mode
In this mode, detailed progress dialogs are displayed, along with a synchronization preview that you must confirm before proceeding to the copying phase.Depending on your settings, it may also display additional confirmation dialogs.
- Automatic Mode
In Automatic Mode, detailed progress dialogs are still displayed, but the synchronization preview is omitted, and no additional questions are asked.Certain confirmations must be provided in advance within the profile settings (for example, regarding file deletion).
- Run in Background
Running a job in the background is the least intrusive way to execute a profile. In the Profile Overview, you will see basic progress information, but no additional dialogs will appear. This is how the Scheduler runs profiles. You can still view detailed progress information by right-clicking on a currently running job and selecting "Show Detailed Progress."
- Background with Preview
This new feature introduced in Syncovery 9 has proven to be extremely useful. You will not see a detailed progress dialog, and the job does not block the Syncovery GUI.You can run multiple jobs simultaneously and review the synchronization preview for each profile once it is ready. After you confirm the preview dialog, the job returns to background mode.
