Yoink is a drag-and-drop utility for Mac that moves files, apps, and basically anything that can be dragged to its destination. It acts like a shelf where you can put your files - one at a time or all together - and then send them anywhere on your computer. Lightning fast.
Customizable size and location
This is your shelf, so you can place it wherever you want. Adjust the window size in the Yoink menu - from smaller to larger. Then, from six options, choose the best location for Yoink on your screen. You can also define the display conditions for Yoink in Settings > Behavior.
Finder-like behavior
Yoink is easy to get used to because you don’t have to force yourself. Based on Finder's behavior in moving and copying files, this tool integrates instantly into your workflow. Just like in the Finder, use the Command key to force items to move and the Option key to force copying.
Convenient keyboard shortcuts
You can set Yoink to appear when you start dragging items or moving them to the edge of the screen, so you don't have to launch the app every time. To quickly get back what you deleted from Yoink, use a long press. To save the current contents of the clipboard, double-click. And you don't need to bother.
Handoff between devices
If you additionally install Yoink for iPhone and iPad, you can use the app to move texts, files, and the like between Apple devices. Make sure your Mac is compatible with Handoff and start moving your files across devices.
Combine elements for convenience
Drop multiple items into Yoink and it will automatically group them into stacks. Separate stacks within the app, reorganize or move as a group - Yoink takes the hassle out of the process so you get more done with less effort.
Clipboard history
Yoink can remember up to 20 of any elements copied to the background. Activate the Clipboard History Widget in Notification Center and easily retrieve clipboard contents from the widget or directly from Yoink using the context menu.
