About
Ghostnote is a Mac utility that gives you context for everything you work on. Whether you're editing a document inside a desktop app, navigating websites, or organizing files and folders, you can attach stickers from Ghostnote anywhere. Leave small reminders in different places or view your entire list of notes and to-dos in the Note Browser.
Key features of Ghostnote
Organize your files with notes
Ghostnote takes the familiar idea of sticky notes to a whole new level, allowing you to create text reminders on your Mac for each file, or for an entire group. Improve your file organization and add important details to any files and folders you're working on.
Add notes as you edit
Any workflow can be personalized with stickers. Work with your documents in apps like Word, Xcode, or Photoshop and add annotations as you go. Back in Ghostnote, it will show you each note in the right context. This is especially useful with PDF files, which are usually not that easy to edit.
Add notes inside apps
Mac apps are a dime a dozen. Whether you use only standard applications or add extraneous utilities, either way, you have too many shortcuts to remember. Ghostnote simplifies things by allowing you to add notes and tips right inside apps.
Annotate websites
Don't miss a single piece of vital information while browsing websites. Ghostnote tracks the URLs you visit and lets you add instant notes to them. The next time you open the same site, your contextual note will appear automatically.
Note Browser has it all!
View your entire list of context notes. If you're working on a project or doing research online, this will help you summarize on the go and capture information in one place called Note Browser. You can also use it as a simple notes app, writing down text memos and to-do lists.
Customize your notes
You can change the color of your text notes by selecting Themes from the Ghostnote menu. This is convenient if you want to separate different types of text memos by color. To speed things up, create your own shortcuts to enable Ghostmode, Dock, or Undock features, and display the Note Browser.
