VueScan is a software application designed for use with scanners from HP, Minolta, Nikon, Polaroid, Epson, Canon, and others.It is capable of working with internal color depth.VueScan supports both automatic and manual adjustment of most parameters, as well as batch scanning mode.The software supports over 6,000 scanner models, with a particular emphasis on slide scanners—including Nikon, Minolta, Polaroid, Microtek, and Epson.It features automatic image defect removal utilizing an infrared scanning channel, as well as multi-pass scanning with subsequent result averaging to suppress the scanner's inherent noise.
Included are filters for grain suppression, unsharp masking, and the removal of unwanted color casts from the original.The software also provides tools for manually adjusting dynamic range and tonal curves (independently for the R, G, and B channels).
