About
Rogue Amoeba has announced a new solution for recording sound from any audio source, Audio Hijack 4. Available for computers with the OS X operating system, the application allows you to record conversations in Skype and FaceTime, digitize analog magnetic recordings and records, and record music from iTunes and Safari.
In the new iteration, the Audio Hijack utility received a completely new block interface, a set of templates for setting up recording, support for multiple audio sources for one session, special filters for eliminating noise - Denoise, Declick, Dehum and others. Audiophiles will appreciate the ability to use the lossless FLAC compression format.
Using Audio Hijack 4, you can record sounds from any application, from a DVD player, stream audio over the Internet, record conversations through VoIP services, import sound from records, magnetic tapes, microphones and other analog sources. Using built-in tools, you can perform post-processing to improve sound quality.
