SaneClip is a clipboard manager for macOS that prioritizes privacy, security, and convenience without getting in the way of your workflow.
It stores a complete history of copied items (text, images) and allows you to quickly search for, edit, and paste past entries, all while providing maximum protection for user data.
Features:
• Touch ID / Biometric Security — The only clipboard manager offering full history locking via fingerprint (or Face ID).• Strong Encryption — Your entire history is encrypted locally on your device; keys are stored in macOS’s secure storage (Keychain), and absolutely nothing is sent to third-party servers.
• Auto-detection and Cleanup of Sensitive Data — Automatically identifies and removes (on a schedule) credit card numbers, SSNs, passwords, tokens, private keys, and similar sensitive information.
• Ignore Passwords from Managers — Does not save items copied from 1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass, Dashlane, and similar apps (to keep your history clutter-free).
• Cleanup Rules — Automatically removes tracking parameters from URLs (utm_*, fbclid, etc.), trims whitespace, normalizes line breaks, and removes duplicates.
• Color-coding by Source — Each clip is color-coded according to the application it was copied from.
• Search, Editing, and Unlimited History — Instant search, word count, and clip editing capabilities.
• Shortcuts and Conveniences — ⌘Shift+V to open history, ⌘1–9 for quick pasting, Vim-style navigation, Paste Stack, and text transformations upon pasting (UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, reverse, etc.).
• Pins and Snippets — Pin important items for easy access, and create reusable text templates with placeholders.
• Auto-Expiration — Clips can be automatically deleted after 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days (excluding pinned items).
