The player understands, perhaps, all existing audio formats: AIFF, WAVE, AAC, MP3, FLAC, Monkey Audio APE, WavPack, Apple Lossless, DSD (DSDIFF including DST, DSF, and SACD ISO). In this case, for supported DACs the signal is output directly to DSD; for the rest, high-quality conversion to PCM will be used. As DSD becomes more and more popular, supporting this format at the DAC interface level is a good step.
Audirvana also supports multi-channel music if you have the appropriate equipment.
Sampling rate conversion occurs using Sound Forge iZotope 64-Bit SRC. In short, this is a hybrid low-pass filter that ensures full preservation of quality when converting digital audio from one sampling frequency to another.
