About

With File Juicer, you can extract images from PowerPoint slideshows or presentations, as well as extract images and text from PDF files.

In addition, File Juicer allows you to:

Recover photos and videos from erased flash memory cards.

Recover text from damaged files.

Extract images and HTML files from the Safari browser cache.

Extract attachments from email archives.

Reconstruct simple PDF files into Word documents.

Convert iPhoto cache files and .ithmb files into TIFF format.

Recover photos from your iPod if you have lost your Mac.

Extract Flash animations embedded within .EXE files.

Recover ZIP archives that were saved as .EXE files.

Extract JPEG previews from Canon and Nikon RAW files.

Extract System 7 sounds.

Use it for forensic analysis and examination of various types of cache files.

Invisibly attach files to images—simple steganography.

File Juicer doesn't care what type of file you drop onto it; it scans the entire file byte by byte.

If it finds a JPEG, JP2, PNG, GIF, PDF, BMP, WMF, EMF, PICT, TIFF, Flash, Zip, HTML, WAV, MP3, AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV, MP4, AU, AIFF...

...or a text file embedded inside, it can save it to your desktop or to another folder of your choice.

File Juicer doesn't care what type of file you drag and drop onto it; it performs a comprehensive search through the entire file.If it detects a JPEG, JP2, PNG, GIF, PDF, BMP, WMF, EMF, PICT, TIFF, Flash, Zip, HTML, WAV, AVI, MPG, MOV, WMV, MP3, AIFF, AU, MP4, or text file embedded within, it can save it to your desktop or to another folder of your choice.

This means it works not only with Safari cache files but also with those from Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, and OmniWeb.It also works with files created using other Microsoft Office applications.

Windows .exe files have a complex internal structure; however, File Juicer scans the entire file, and—provided the image or animation is neither compressed nor encrypted—it can extract them.

This frequently occurs with self-playing Flash animations or Flash games that have been saved in the .exe format to make them easier for Windows users to launch.Unfortunately, this previously rendered them unusable on a Mac.

Windows .exe files may actually be compressed .zip archives packaged into a self-extracting wrapper for quick access on Windows. You can now convert these files back to the standard zip format and open them on Mac OS.

The ASCII text recovery option scans any file—whether damaged or in an unknown format—and saves whatever appears to be text.If you apply this option to MP3 files or images, any comments embedded within the file will likely be retrieved.
