Echo is a minimalist app that works from the menu bar and automatically remembers everything you play on your Mac: music on Spotify or Apple Music, podcasts, videos on YouTube and other sites.The main magic of Echo is that it not only saves history, but also remembers the exact place (timecode) where you left off.By pressing a hotkey, you can instantly resume playback of any track, podcast or video from the very point where you left off, even if several days have passed.
Features:
Unified playback history
• Echo organizes everything you've listened to or watched into a single timeline.It doesn't matter if it's playing in a native app (Spotify, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts) or in the browser (YouTube, Spotify Web, SoundCloud).
• Long sessions (for example, an entire music album) are collapsed into one group so as not to clutter the story.
Instant resume from exact location
• This is a key feature of the Echo: it remembers not only the name, but also the timecode where you left off.You can close the video, turn off the Mac, and a day later press the hotkey and continue from the same second.
• For video, Echo offers a convenient floating player (Picture-in-Picture) that can be moved around the screen and becomes translucent so as not to interfere with your work.
• Keyboard control (Keyboard-first)
• Invoke the Echo overlay with a global hotkey from any application.
• Filter the story, search for the desired item, resume playback and control (speed, rewind, pause) without touching the mouse.
• All basic actions (⌘K) allow you to pin, rename, copy a link with timecode, or delete an item from history.
Bookmarks and “shelf” (Shelf & Saved)
• You can save your favorite moments (using a button or hotkey) - Echo will save the selected fragment (recording plus 10 seconds before it).
• Unfinished videos and podcasts automatically go to the “Shelf” - a separate tab so that you don’t forget to finish watching them.
• Visualization of the day (Your Day)
• Echo shows your day as a colored sound wave, with each color representing a different source (music, podcast, video).This allows you to see how your time was distributed and quickly switch to the desired fragment.
Design and details
• Accent Color: The Echo window is illuminated in the color of the current track or video's artwork, creating a nice visual connection.The color can be fixed manually.
