NeoOffice is a full-featured suite of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and productivity programs) for macOS.
NeoOffice is an office suite for Mac based on OpenOffice and LibreOffice. With NeoOffice you can view, edit and save OpenOffice documents, LibreOffice documents and simple Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
Two engineers created NeoOffice in 2003, when they first made OpenOffice work natively on OS X. Since then, NeoOffice engineers have continually added improvements to NeoOffice that you won't find in OpenOffice or LibreOffice and includes dozens of native Mac features, suitable for importing, editing and sharing files with other popular office programs such as Microsoft Office.

Using the native macOS spell checker
Unlike OpenOffice.org, NeoOffice integrates the advanced spelling and spelling checker found in Mac OS X, so users don't have to download and install additional dictionaries.
Using the macOS native address book
NeoOffice includes the ability to use the Mac OS X address book as a data source.
Works with most Microsoft Office 2007 file formats
NeoOffice integrates ODF - an open document file format for storing and exchanging editable office documents, which allows NeoOffice users to open, edit and save files in the most common Microsoft Office 2007 file formats - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Working with macros in Excel
NeoOffice includes support for macros in Excel.
Aqua
Unlike OpenOffice.org, NeoOffice has built-in Aqua interface elements - buttons, scroll bars, file opening and much more.
No X11
NeoOffice uses Java technology that is built into macOS. Thanks to Java, there is no need to download and install X11 software, as required by OpenOffice.org.
Using macOS fonts
Unlike OpenOffice.org, NeoOffice uses the same fonts as all other macOS applications. NeoOffice can use any fonts installed using the parameter NeoOffice can use any fonts installed using the Applications/Font Book application parameter.
International keyboard layout
Unlike OpenOffice.org, NeoOffice can use any keyboard layout. When switching layouts while NeoOffice is running, the program switches automatically.
Print support
NeoOffice supports printing using the basic printing functions in macOS - printing, viewing and saving documents in PDF format.
Copy/Paste function
NeoOffice supports copy/paste functionality on macOS so you can copy and paste text and images between NeoOffice and other macOS applications.
Drag function
NeoOffice supports the ability to drag and drop text or images between NeoOffice and other macOS applications.
