About
ArtRage is a painting suite designed to deliver realistic results by simulating traditional canvas-based drawing techniques using a variety of tools—such as pens, pencils, and crayons. You can work with the program by leveraging the unique interaction between stylus and screen, allowing you to experience the true realism of painting.
The ArtRage series is distinguished by a combination of two features rarely found in a budget-friendly product: an intuitive, well-designed user interface paired with a wealth of versatile and exciting tools. ArtRage reproduces oil paints with remarkable accuracy and beauty;the paint even takes time to dry, just like the real thing, and can be freely blended, smeared, and manipulated in every way imaginable. An interesting added touch is the ability to dip your brush into a cup of water—a detail that actually affects the resulting color.Depending on the selected canvas texture, the properties of the paint applied to the surface change accordingly—just as they would in reality. The interface design itself also exudes realism;the canvas you are drawing on can be easily rotated, zoomed in, and zoomed out. When you are actively drawing, the interface panels automatically fade away so they do not obstruct your ability to complete a stroke.
For those fortunate enough to own a graphics tablet, the program offers full support for stylus pressure sensitivity and tilt angle. You can precisely adjust the pressure applied when using any tool—whether it be a paintbrush, a pencil, or another instrument.WACOM, a leading manufacturer of graphics tablets, has even bundled a "lite" version of ArtRage with select models of its devices. The program's multi-layered canvas system allows you to place a reference image underneath your work and paint directly over it;the reference image's scale and transparency can be fully customized. The layer management system—including blending modes, filters, and brush presets—provides everything you need, even offering compatibility with Photoshop brushes and plugins. In light of all these features, and according to the most authoritative experts in the field, ArtRage can be confidently recommended to any creative individual—whether a child or an adult, a seasoned artist familiar with complex software, or a complete beginner.Features:
