RizomUV (formerly Unfold 3D) is a graphic editor for calculating automatic unwrapping of UV coordinates in Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema4D, Softimage, Houdini, Modo, ZBrush, Rhino.
RizomUV provides a set of functions for editing coordinates and adjusting the symmetry of the model. The solution is based on effective methods for sequential modeling of surface coordinates, due to which projections are obtained with the least distortion.
UV transformation or unwrapping in three-dimensional graphics (UV map) is the correspondence between the coordinates on the surface of a three-dimensional object (X, Y, Z) and the coordinates on the texture (U, V). The values of U and V usually vary from 0 to 1. The development can be built either manually or automatically - for example, in RizomUV 2018 there are several algorithms for automatic model development.
