About

Vitamin-R is a set of tools and techniques aimed at improving the productivity of creative professionals by maintaining focus on the task and maintaining motivation.

It works like this: the project is divided into several tasks, the completion time of which will be from 10 to 30 minutes. During this period, the program keeps your attention on a specific goal through audio messages about the amount of time remaining and visually using a countdown clock in the menu bar. While a task is running, you can pause it if, for example, you receive an important call.

In addition to performing the task itself or a chain of tasks, the user is provided with mechanisms for correctly taking breaks (time periods) and ways to improve performance in case of poor concentration. To do this, Vitamin-R has a built-in special tool that can eliminate distractions; before starting work, the user will be asked to “turn off” applications that can distract from the task, such as iCQ or Jabber clients, Skype, or even worse, twitter. Thus, Vitamin-R allows you to quickly get involved in work, overcoming the body’s primary reluctance to start active work, and creates a positive attitude towards achieving small goals, stimulating you to complete new ones and the entire project as a whole. This way of working reduces the stress caused by looming deadlines and a lack of clear direction in work.

Upon completion of the task, the user will be asked to conduct a short analysis of the work performed and note those points that need to be paid attention to during the next session. This is all done in a nutshell, in the form of text lists, and should really be useful when working on complex projects.

In addition to the general organization of work, the program contains records of those tasks that have already been completed. This makes it possible to evaluate the work done, highlight positive and negative trends, and select the appropriate mode of work on the project. The application can integrate into already started work on projects; there is no need to reorganize all activities around Vitamin-R, or spend a lot of time and effort transferring the necessary information. Direct integration with the most popular to-do solutions such as Things and OmniFocus will protect the user from unnecessary worries.
